Big Concert Hall
The Big Concert Hall was initially designed for the performances of Krasnoyarsk Dance Ensemble of Siberia.
“We wanted to see the dancers at their best, their smiles, their exquisite costumes etc. The acoustics in such halls with the capacity exceeding one thousand people is almost always artificial” (from the memories of the People’s Architect of the Russian Federation A.S. Demirkhanov).
The hall is designed for 1412 seats. The stage is suitable for large-scale shows. The technical capacities of the hall allow performing the musical pieces involving both symphonic and folk orchestras, as well as soloists, choirs, dancing groups and a video backdrop. This the venue where the guest performances of the leading groups of from all over Russia take place.
The entrance to the Big Concert Hall of the Philharmonic makes up a natural stage itself. In the warm season, it can be used for large music festivals and theatrical shows.
To improve the acoustic experience of classical music concerts an acoustic shell is installed.
